I've had some requests for lots of different skill and project based classes as we move into the new year so I wanted to review my offerings to you.
In January I'll be starting 6 new classes at local yarn stores in Northwest Arkansas! 4 are brand new projects and 2 are favorite projects featured previously. If you are interested in any of the classes I offer please check out our Class page to see what is currently in the line up.

First up is the Toe Up Two at a Time Sock class, I have 3 open slots for this 3 week class starting January 4th at Mockingbird Moon in Rogers, AR. Using the Fish Lips Kiss pattern( by SoxTherapist, $1 ravelry.com)and Judy's magic caston, we will fly through a pair of vanilla socks with no second sock syndrome. This will be a quicker class than usual, but I have you set up for success. Yarn and other materials need to be purchased at the yarn store. I will be happy to make recommendations in person for you!

Also on January 4th and 5th are the 9th sessions of the Building with Lace Project. We will be tackling pattern on both sides of the work. I know nupps were a little stressful last month, but we are nearing the finish line and this wrap is impressive!

Saturday, January 5th we'll be starting the Archer Sweater KAL style class at Mockingbird Moon. This fingering weight sweater is top down with drop sleeves and a gorgeous lateral braid arch featured on the front and the back. Archer is a fun knit and you will be a master of short rows by the time you are done with the top! I'll be reviewing skills for a top down puller over during this class so if Archer isn't for you, but you want to complete a top down sweater by March then join me for this class! Just send me a message with your pattern so I can be prepared!

Also on Saturday the 5th, the much anticipated Baby Knits class will start. Over 8 weeks we'll be covering 4 baby knit patterns. Each session will be 3 hours and will review the pattern and get you set up for success. All 4 patterns use fingering weight yarn- 250g total for the 4 projects! You can take the classes separately  ($10 each) or as a set ($40) These are the patterns we will be tackling and weeks we will address each. All patterns are available from Ravelry.January 5 10-1 Newborn Vertebrae (Cardigan) from Kelly van Niekerk (free)- 50g fingering weight
January 19 10-1
Anker's Suit (Romper) from PetiteKnit (~$6.50 US) - 100 g fingering weight
February 9 10-1 Baby Leggings from Ruth Bendig (free)- 40g fingering weight
February 16 10-1 Hosenmatz (Pants) from Mayumi Kaliciak und Antje Litzmann (free)- 60g fingering weight

January 16th 10-1 (and January 30th) I'll be doing Two at a Time Mitts class at a new to me location! Red Scottie Fibers in Eureka Springs has invited me to join their knitting class line up! We'll only be meeting twice so this will be a fast one that you can wear and enjoy during the cold left in  February. The pattern is Andrea Mowry's Tinsel Mitts ($6, ravelry.com). As always any yarn needed for the class needs to be purchased at the yarn store.

What is a Gift Knit Basket?- I'm most excited about the class I'm starting on January 18th at Mockingbird Moon! We'll be filling your gifting basket with hand knits ready to share with the world. This series will be once a month for 3 hours. Each class will be provided independently (aka pick the ones you like!) January's project is Spiced Cocoa by Laura Ayers ($5, ravelry.com). These adorable fingerless mitts have 3 sizes based on yarn and needle size. The visual interest is created with a diagonal line of twisted stitches and the contrasting textures of stockinette and reverse stockinette. I love this pattern. It takes me about 8 hours of knitting to complete the pair. Next month we'll be working on a gorgeous cabled hat from Lete's Knits.

Okay, that's all I got this month, but be on the look out for new classes next month!!
